Vader has said that he would recapture the title before the British tour ends next weekend. Maybe they'll do a double switch just for box-office's sake. Vader's contract was up at the beginning of March and with his $250000 per year UWFi deal in Japan, he figured to have a lot of negotiating power with WCW. He re-signed a four year deal at $450000 per year. - Sid Vicious is also apparently looking at around $450000 per year with WCW. Where did this money come from? - WWF has WrestleMania on 04/04/93 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The tentative line-up looks like this: - Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna for the WWF Title - Hulk Hogan & Brutus Beefcake vs. Money, Inc. for the WWF Tag Titles - Steiners vs. Headshrinkers - Tatanka vs. Shawn Michaels for the IC Title - Giant Gonzales vs. Undertaker - Curt Hennig vs. Lex Luger - Crush vs. Doink the Clown *- Bob Backlund vs. Razor Ramon *- Jerry Lawler vs. Genichiro Tenryu Two new match announced this past weekend on TV, although there is talk the final match won't take place. The Steiners did not win the tag titles as rumoured so it looks like Hogan & Brutus are still title bound. There's a weird report in the paper today saying that Ted DiBiase has a shoulder injury and may not be able to make WrestleMania. The pre-WrestleMania show on USA on March 28th has Randy Savage vs. Yokozuna and Bret Hart vs. Lex Luger. - Rumours have reached here that Jim Ross is indeed WWF bound. - WCW will be coming to Toronto after a long absence on April 18th in the Skydome. The tentative line-up has: - Sting vs. Van Vader for the WCW Title - Barry Windham vs. Ron Simmons for the NWA Title - Brian PIllman & Steve Austin vs. Ricky Steamboat & Steve Austin for the WCW Tag Titles - Cactus Jack & Dustin Rhodes vs. Paul Orndorff & Rick Rude - Marcus Bagwell & 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Tex Slazenger & Shanghi Pierce - Van Hammer vs. Vinnie Vegas - Chris Benoit vs. Johnny B. Badd - Steve Regal vs. Maxx Payne Ric Flair should also make an appearance. Some of these matches are already in doubt, so it wouldn't be surprising if we saw a completely different line-up. Varied reports have tickets at $10 or $15, with only 10000 seats being offered. - There are reports that both the WWF and WCW are going to be using the blade a little more frequently in upcoming months. I guess WCW is already there, with Shane Douglas, Vader and Sting all blading in recent memory on big shows. We'll see what the WWF does at WrestlMania. - E-mail TidBits: If your site has a slow feed or you don't read news frequently enough and you want to get this posting as e-mail every week, send me e-mail saying so. - Videos: Anybody interested in the (very slowly) ongoing discussion with regard to my video tapes or anybody just generally interested in talking about videos can thank Rick Duggan for setting up a proper mailing list dedicated to this type of discussion.
