Matches are: - Masa Chono vs. Keiji Muto for the NWA Title - Ron Simmons vs. Rick Rude for the WCW Title - Sting vs. Big Van Vader in the finals of the King of Cable tourney - Rick Steamboat & Shane Douglas vs. Barry Windham & Brian Pillman for the WCW & NWA Tag Titles - The second annual Battlebowl match with 8 teams to be drawn live at the PPV. The only announced match is: - Cactus Jack & Johnny B. Badd vs. Dan Spivey & Van Hammer - Remaining BattleBowl participants: Sting, Dustin Rhodes, Paul Orndorff, Too Cold Scorpio, Kensuke Sasaki, Jushin Riger, Erik Watts, Steve Austin, Marcus Bagwell, Barbarian, Steve Williams, Barry Windham. - The feud between Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce (Mark Cantebury, for the person who asked) and Tom Zenk & Johnny Gunn will begin this weekend on WCW Saturday Night. The Texans try to put a dress on Zenk. The advertised Dustin Rhodes vs. Barry Windham match doesn't take place. - WWF has it's annual Royal Rumble PPV on 01/24/93 (or is that 01/23/93?) from Sacramento. The line-up will include: - Bret Hart vs. Razor Ramon for the WWF Title - 30-man Royal Rumble which will include Jerry Lawler, Carlos Colon and El Gigante as new talent. Genichiro Tenryu will also appear at the Rumble, but it's unclear whether he'll participate in the Rumble or have a singles match. Earthquake John Tenta finishes with the WWF after the show and joins the All Japan crew. There's talk that Jerry Lawler will stay in the WWF for a while. - Kamala's face turn should happen before the Rumble. There's talk that after he turns, he'll form a team with the Undertaker. Further rumour has the team taking on Kim Chee & Harvey Whippleman and crushing them to end their WWF careers. - The Steiners will join the WWF in January (after their final date with New Japan on 01/04/93 vs. Kensuke Sasaki & Road Warrior Hawk). They have been released from their WCW contract. - WCW & New Japan co-promote the third annual SuperShow from Tokyo Dome on 01/04/93. Tentative line-up includes: - Masa Chono vs. Great Muta for the NWA & IWGP Titles - Rom Simmons vs. Tony Halme for the WCW Title - Riki Choshu vs. Genichiro Tenryu - The Steiners vs. Kensuke Sasaki & Road Warrior Hawk - Jushin Riger vs. El Ultimo Dragon (Yoshihiro Asai) for the IWGP Jr. Title - Norio Honaga & Super Strong Machine & Tatsutoshi Goto & Hiro Saito vs. Kengo Kimura & Shiro Koshinaka & Akitoshi Saito & Kabuki There will also be matches involving Sting, Rick Rude, Dustin Rhodes and one other WCW wrestler. The promo tape includes some footage of Hulk Hogan and rumour has him appearing but not wrestling (and possibly doing some commentary). The tenative main event has Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna for the WWF Title.
