Comments: "Night of the Living Mid-Carders". Snatches of okay wrestling here and there really couldn't cover for the fact that the show had the look and feel of your average installment of WCW Saturday Night. The best match on the card was Guerrero vs. Psychosis, and that one was short and plagued with blown spots, not to mention an almost total lack of any drama (as Guerrero really had little difficulty earning the win). The Benoit/Norton match had its moments as well, though I'm sure the finish was distressing to those who continue to be Benoit fans. With Bret Hart at home in Canada taking care of family problems, Ric Flair rumored to have quit WCW, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash upset over the firing of Syxx, and "Hollywood" Hogan only having to wrestle when he wants to, it all added up to a show seriously short on marquee names.
