If anybody reading this knows a foolproof way for me to contact RSPW old-timer Dominic Macika, please drop me some e-mail. ______________________________________________________________________ - The WWF had "In Your House" on Sunday. Even with Bill Watts having resigned as the primary booker for the company and Shawn Michaels and Undertaker begin unexpectedly unable to work the show, there was little excuse for booking the on this show. Every key match ended with a screwy finish. The standard WWF policy of putting the replacement babyface over when there's a substitution led to Razor Ramon winning the IC Title from Dean Douglas after Michaels forfeited the belt to the Dean; but that same policy didn't apply when two heels, Mabel & Yokozuna, faced each other due to the Undertaker's absence - the result? a very lame double count out. Goldust (Dustin Rhodes) showed what a prolonged absence from the ring can do to somebody and hopefully will be back to working hard in the future, but the gimmick is down right embarrassing. In short, this show was the first definite thumbs down in a long time. - WCW has Halloween Havoc on Sunday. The line-up has: * Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant (in monster truck and wrestling matches) * Brian Pillman & Arn Anderson vs. Ric Flair & Sting * Randy Savage vs. Kamala * Lex Luger vs. Meng * Diamond Dallas Page vs. Johnny B. Badd for the TV Title * Hawk vs. Kurasawa * Sabu (with Sheik) vs. Mr. J.L. (Jerry Lynn) Lex Luger and Randy Savage will wrestle each other if they both win their scheduled matches. It's expected that Hogan will be injured somewhere along the way and essentially be removed from the WCW picture for a couple of months anyhow (rumours abound that Hogan will make another movie). Apparently, the plan all along was for Ric Flair to turn on Sting and rejoin Arn, who along with Brian Pillman and a mystery fourth man would form the four Horsemen. The Observer reports that Sting agreed to the plan but balked recently when he thought it would make him look too stupid. Ric Flair wants to turn, the company doesn't really want to turn him since he's over, and Sting wants no part of it. I guess we'll see what happens on this show. - WCW has let Vader out of his contract. There's no word on if the WWF will jump on him. In other exciting news, WCW plans to turn John "The Shark" Tenta babyface as the first outcast from the Dungeon of Doom. The One Man Gang is rumoured to be his replacement. - The RAW vs. Nitro ratings war thus far looks like this (Draw your own conclusions): WCW Nitro WWF RAW Rating Share Live Rating Share Live 09/04/95 2.9 ? Tentative line-up includes: * Bret Hart vs. Diesel for the WWF Title * Bertha Faye & Aja Kong & Lioness Asuka & Tomoko Watanabe vs. Alundra Blayze & Kyoko Inoue & Sakie Hasegawa & Chapparita Asari This will be Bertha Faye's final match with the promotion. Alundra will work occasional PPV shots next year, with limited push, against various Japanese women. - WCW has "World War III" on 11/26/95. This show will apparently feature: * a 60-man three ring battle royal (involving WCW wrestlers and wrestlers from New Japan) with the winner earning a title shot at the WCW Title * Bull Nakano & Akira Hokuto vs. Cutie Suzuki & Mayumi Ozaki WCW will be sending Ric Flair, Sting, Alex Wright, Arn Anderson, Johnny B. Badd, Steve Regal, Bobby Eaton, Nasty Boys, Harlem Heat, and The Giant to New Japan for shows on 11/13/95 and 11/14/95 and will get tapes of those shows from Japan. The idea is to hype an inter-promotional feud that will get some push here, build with the New Japan guys working TV tapings while they are here for the PPV, and lead to Starrcade. - WCW has Starrcade on PPV on 12/27/95. Tentative line-up has: * Sting vs. Kensuke Sasaki for the US Title * Koji Kanemoto vs. Alex Wright for the IWGP Jr. Title * Randy Savage vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan * Lex Luger vs. Masa Chono * Johnny B. Badd vs. Hiro Saito * Eddy Guerrero vs. Shinjiro Otani * Chris Benoit vs. Jushin Liger - Awards: I was overwhelmed by midterm marking this past week.
