First, he rambled about Tom Burton being a "big star" in the "UWF" in Japan as a shootfighter and said we'd see how that style held up against some of "WCW's finest," the Nasty Boys. He made several comments to this effect. Then he went off about Jerry Saggs being a real tough guy and said he'd heard a story about Jerry laying a "world of hurt" on Ken Shamrock (Pancrase shootwrestler and UFC star in North America) after Shamrock offended him. I guess Eric finds it easier to blast promotions that get good buy rates with limited exposure than to improve on his own product. - Everybody is talking about the Warlord coming in to WCW. No word on whether he'll bring his magic wand. ;-) There has also been talk about Lex Luger jumping ship to WCW, but recent talk has him staying with the WWF for another renewed push (that fans will probably reject yet again...). - WCW has SuperBrawl on 02/19/95. Tentative line-up has: - Hulk Hogan vs. Vader for the WCW Title - Sting & Randy Savage vs. Big Bubba & Avalanche *- Jim Duggan vs. Bunkhouse Buck - Dave Sullivan vs. Kevin Sullivan - Nasty Boys vs. Harlem Heat for the WCW Tag Titles - Dustin Rhodes vs. Blacktop Bully - Alex Wright vs. Paul Roma - Koko B. Ware vs. Tito Santana (Cruiserweight tourney match?) Everything except the final match has been announced on TV. The Duggan vs. Buck match is at risk after recent talk has Duggan out of WCW. Is he back in or was WCW too lazy to re-do "event center" pieces? Close call! There's a lot of talk that Ric Flair will be worked into the Hogan vs. Vader story line, eventually teaming with Vader to take on Hogan & company. - WCW will have a PPV on 03/19/95 called "WCW Uncensored." Rumored line-up has: - Hulk Hogan vs. Vader for the WCW Title There's talk that the Steiners will return to WCW for this show. - The WWF has WrestleMania XI on 04/02/95. Tentative line-up has: - Diesel vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWF Title *- Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Lawrence Taylor *- Undertaker vs. King Kong Bundy Yikes! Two on-paper "Worst Match of The Year" candidates rumoured to be added in one week. - Booking Prediction Tourney: All of the SuperBrawl matches will probably be announced by this weekend's TV, so you can expect to see a ballot for that card some time next week. - Videos: I have posted something about the availability of videos. If you missed it, I'll send it to you in e-mail upon request. Basically, all of the tapes in my video collection are available. My tape list is on the r.s.p-w ftp site (istrain.health.ufl.edu) in the file herbtape.zip. I have made a total of five compilation tapes for the net: R.s.p-w 1, Japan 1981-1983, Japan 1984-1987, VideoMarinepiad I, and VideoMarinepiad II. If you are interested in details on any of these, just send some e-mail or browse the ftp site. Herb...
