 - Talk persists that Dusty Rhodes' days as WCW booker are definitely
   numbered.  Terry Funk is already running around saying that he has
   the job, which leads everybody to conclude that he doesn't have the job.

 - As regulars of the newsgroup know, I was in Edmonton for several months
   at the end of last year.  I've made arrangements to trade for the WCW
   PPVs I missed while there and figured I could rent and watch the WWF
   Survivor Series (WCW PPVs don't make it on video here).  I finally
   found the time this past week to hit the video store and rent the tape.
   I was pretty to surprised to find that every "big" video store I popped
   into did not bother to buy the tape.  My only conclusion is that rental
   rates of the wrestling videos must have dropped to an all-time low in
   parallel with buy rates.  So, people aren't getting turned off by the
   expensive prospect of ordering PPVs, they are getting turned off of the
   wrestling itself.

 - The WWF has Royal Rumble on this Saturday, 01/22/94, in Providence.
   The announced line-up has:
     - Yokozuna vs. The Undertaker for the WWF Title in a casket match
     - The Quebecers vs. Owen & Bret Hart for the WWF Tag Titles
     - Razor Ramon vs I.R.S. for the IC Title
     - Tatanka vs. Ludvig Borga
     - Royal Rumble (all 30 announced participants): Bret Hart, Owen Hart,
       Crush, Kamala, Doink, Mabel, Mo, Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner,
       Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Adam Bomb, Bam Bam Bigelow, Randy Savage,
       1-2-3 Kid, Samu, Fatu, Bob Backlund, Greg Valentine, Rick Martel,
       Billy Gunn, Bart Gunn, Bastion Booger, Marty Janetty, Tatanka,
       Ludvig Borga, Genichiro Tenryu, Kabuki, Lex Luger
   Most people are picking Undertaker to win the WWF Title, the Harts to
   win the Tag Titles, and Lex Luger to win the Rumble.

 - WCW has Clash of Champions XXVI on 01/27/93, live on WTBS.  Announced
   line-up has:
     - Ric Flair & Sting vs. Vader & Rick Rude in a tag elimination match
     - Nasty Boys vs. Maxx Payne & Cactus Jack for the WCW Tag Titles
     - Dustin Rhodes vs. Steve Regal for the TV Title
     - Brian Pillman vs. Colonel Parker with the loser having to wear a
        chicken suit on 01/29/93 WCW SN TV
     - Ice Train vs. Ron Simmons
     - Marcus Bagwell & 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Paul Orndorff & Paul Roma
   This show will also feature the debut of WCW's new figurehead
   commissioner, said to be Nick Bockwinkel, and the newest member of
   WCW's broadcast team, Bobby Heenan.
     With 6 matches in a two hour broadcast, they should be able to
   save up enough time for the main event tag elimination match to be
   reasonably long.

 - WCW has SuperBrawl IV on 02/20/94.  Rumoured line-up includes:
     - Ric Flair vs. Big Van Vader in a Thunderdome cage match
     - Brian Pillman & Sting & Dustin Rhodes
        vs. Steve Austin & Paul Orndorff Rick Rude in the Thunderdome cage
     - Steve Regal vs. Arn Anderson for the TV Title
     - Nasty Boys vs. Maxx Payne & Cactus Jack for the WCW Tag Titles
     - Johnny B. Badd vs. Michaels Hayes
     - Harlem Heat vs. Thunder & Lightning
     - Diamond Dallas Page vs. Terry Taylor
     - Jungle Jim Steele vs. Equalizer

 - The WWF has WrestleMania X on 03/20/94 from MSG in New York.

 - The WWF has the King of the Ring PPV in 07/94 from Baltimore.
