What wrestlers will agree to be inducted into the Hall of Fame on the show? And will any of them get attacked during a ceremony tand then come out of retirement? We'll see. - Steve Austin & Brian Pillman defeated Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas for the NWA/WCW Tag Titles at a TV taping. Talk abounds that WCW wants to turn Steamboat heel. Other rumours have Steamboat ready to leave WCW again. Maybe there's a connection... - It was reported here that Kerry von Erich was scheduled to wrestle on the same day that he killed himself. His opponent? Dave Sheldon, the Angel of Death. - The WWF ran TV tapings on Sunday thru Tuesday this week (and no results have been posted yet?!). The only semi-expected rumoured result is that the Steiners won the WWF Tag Titles. - WWF has WrestleMania on 04/04/93 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The tentative line-up looks like this: - Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna for the WWF Title - Hulk Hogan & Brutus Beefcake vs. Money, Inc. - Steiners vs. Headshrinkers (for the WWF Tag Titles?) - Tatanka vs. Shawn Michaels for the IC Title - Giant Gonzales vs. Undertaker - Curt Hennig vs. Lex Luger - Crush vs. Doink the Clown - E-mail TidBits: If your site has a slow feed or you don't read news frequently enough and you want to get this posting as e-mail every week, send me e-mail saying so. - Videos: The video discussion continues ever so slowly, with an attempt to reach a concensus on what people would like me to do. Joe Avolio posted a note suggesting that we create a new newsgroup for wrestling video discussions. I've limited knowledge on what would be required to create a new "rec" group, but I do remember that r.s.p-w only had enough support to be created a few years back because all of the other sports fans in rec.sport.misc wanted to get rid of us. This leads me to believe that we won't have the sheer numbers required to create a "rec" group. My perception is that "alt" groups can be created without all the rigamorole, but there are a lot of people without access to the "alt" heirarchy, so the value of such a group becomes suspect. I lean more towards creating a proper mailing list, that would allow people to subscribe and unsubscribe at will. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to go about creating such a thing. In my experience, a mailing list has very little noise. Does anybody out there know how to (or have the ability to?) create a mailing list of this sort? On the video that I'm currently watching (Japanese TV from 06/85), I had the chance to watch the Antonio Inoki vs. Hulk Hogan match from 06/13/85 once again. This was for the IWGP title, with Inoki retaining it by count-out. It was interesting to see Vince McMahon Jr. on hand to do some pre-match announcing. Hogan was WWF champ at the time, so politically there was no other possible finish. The match was ***. Hogan worked a bit like a heel and after the match did some very heel-like yelling at Inoki. Vince Jr. presented the winners' cheque to Inoki. Herb...
