Tentative line-up includes: - Jake Roberts vs. Sting in a "Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal" match, where Sting will apparently spin a gimmicked wheel to determine which type of match takes place. Matches on the wheel in the "Spin The Wheel Saloon" sketch were (in alphabetical order): - Barbed Wire - Cage - Coal Miner's Glove - Dog Collar Match - First Blood - I Quit - Lumberjack Match - Prince of Darkness - Russian Chain Match - Spinner Choice - Texas Bull Rope - Texas Death Match - Rick Rude vs. Masa Chono for the NWA Heavyweight Title with two referees (one chosen by each wrestler) - Ron Simmons vs. Barbarian for the WCW Heavyweight Title - Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham vs. Steve Williams & Terr Gordy for the Unified WCW & NWA Tag Titles - Ricky Steamboat vs. Brian Pillman *- Rick Rude vs. Nikita Koloff for the US Title (As mentioned last week, there is talk of Rude negotiating somebody else into this title shot on his behalf: Steve Austin or Big Van Vader). *- Tom Zenk & Shane Douglas & Johnny Gunn vs. Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton & Michael Hayes The show will be announced by Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura, with Tony Schiavone & Bruno Sammartino hosting (i.e. Bruno gets Eric Bischoff's regular spot). - Ric Flair was apparently very unhappy with the title change to Bret Hart. Flair didn't like the suddenness of the decision. He no-showed the next night's TV tapings and also no-showed a house show in Hamilton. Official word is that he's injured. - From what I understand, Money Inc. may have worn the tag titles before actually winning them, if what I understand is right. They supposedly wore the belts the night Hart defeated Flair, but the title change wasn't taped until the next night. In that title change, the Samoans (aka the Head Hunters, aka the Head Shrinkers) appeared at ringside and stopped one Natural Disaster from saving the other who was put to sleep by DiBiase. So, it looks like Money, Inc. will feud with the Nasty Boys for the titles while the Natural Disasters settle their grudge with the Samoans (that's if new dad Typhoon is still around in the WWF - he no-showed Hamilton too). - The WWF has it's annual Survivor Series PPV from Richfield, OH, on US Thanksgiving weekend. Matches will include: *- Bret Hart vs. (unnamed heel) for the WWF Title *- Randy Savage & Ultimate Warrior vs. Ric Flair & Razor Ramon with trouble-shooting referee Sgt. Slaughter (in trouble because of UW's apparent contract demands) - Big Boss Man vs. Nailz in a nightstick match *- Kamala vs. The Undertaker in a casket match (in trouble because of Undertaker's injuries) *- Money, Inc. with Jimmy Hart defend the Tag Titles against the Nasty Boys with Lou Albano - Apparently, Tony Atlas ambushed Ron Simmons at a recent WCW taping to set up their match-up for the 11/18/92 Clash of Champions XXI. - Videos: I received a massive load of tapes in the mail a couple of days ago. While relaxing and recovering from my car accident, I did have time to watch some things and go over the tapes that I received. I watched a couple of Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair matches (from Oakland and the Cow Palace) that weren't bad, but nowhere near being great (***1/2 and **3/4, respectively). In going over the tapes, there are a group of tapes that are duplicates of things I already have. I'm not sure yet if I'll just use them for taping movies and stuff or what. - Awards: I will post the ballot tomorrow (Friday). Apologies for the delay, but with work and the accident I've been really pressed for spare time to whip up the ballot. I'll let the voting period run a little longer to compensate. Herb...
