I spent a few days in Toronto and am quite out of touch and behind with news and e-mail. } - On this weekend's WWF syndies, the Ultimate Warrior faces Brian Knobbs of the Nasty Boys. Papa Shango appears and puts a curse on the UW to switch UW's feud away from Sid. - Speaking of Sid, there's talk of the big lug negotiating with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The WWF still says that he's coming back after his suspension (which apparently has a 6 weeks or 60 days duration), but who knows? - WCW's WrestleWar '92 takes place on PPV this weekend with: - Sting's Squadron: Sting, Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windham, Ricky Steamboat, & Nikita Koloff vs. The Dangerous Alliance in a Wargames match - Steiners vs. Takayuki Iizuka & Tatsumi Fujinami - Brian Pillman vs. Tom Zenk for the LIghtheavyweight Title - Freebirds vs. Terry Taylor & Greg Valentine for the US Titles - Van Hammer vs. J.T. Southern - Marcus Alexander Bagwell vs. Scotty Flamingo - Ron Simmons vs. Mr. Hughes - Healthfood Dog vs. Cactus Jack These last two matches may be combined into a tag match. We'll also see Johnny B. Badd vs. either Firebreaker Chip or Tracey Smothers. - Okay, okay, so we may have to see Windb...er...Firebreaker Chip again, but at least WCW canned Todd Champion. They've also dropped Tommy "I'm a former world champion" Rich and El Gigante, who never returned from Argentina after his mother died. - Along with the nice prospect of Chris Benoit coming in to WCW's Lightheavyweight division, there's a good chance that the Lightning Kid may be brought in. - Hercules Hernandez debuted at the the last batch of WCW tapings, working under a hood as the Super Invader. He's managed by Harley Race and will get a push. - There's some talk of Owen Hart being unhappy that Vince has saddled him with another lame tag team partner in a nowhere scenario. Anybody know where Owen can get a good job as a Lightheayweight? - Videotape: I'm halfway through making the master copy of the tape. After the weekend I should be done, so you can expect to see more details about it at that time. - Konishiki beat Musashimaru on the first day of the 15 day Summer Grand Sumo tournament in Japan on Sunday. Konishiki, real name Salevaa Atisanoe, is a 580 pound Hawaiian Sumo wrestler who has been at the centre of controversy as of late after claiming in newspaper interviews that he was note promoted after winning his third campionship in March because of racial prejudice against the non-Japanese. - Personal: I will be in Germany for two weeks beginning May 29th. Just an early warning that there won't be any posts from me for that time period. Herb...
