It's expected that WCW will mention the injury this weekend on their TV shows and use it to help add heat to the Sting-Vader feud. Nikita Koloff has taken over all of Sting's spots. Sting may still be out of action by May 17, which would be big trouble for WrestleWar '92. A crazy report today had WCW talking to Lex Luger about working a one-time shot for $5000. - WCW's WrestleWar '92 takes place on May 17 on PPV. The line-up will (tentatively) include: - Sting & Ricky Steamboat & Nikita Koloff & Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham vs. The Dangerous Alliance in a Wargames match - Steiners vs. Tatsumi Fujinami & Takayuki Iizuka to determine the number one contenders to the IWGP Tag Titles (held by Bam Bam Bigelow & Big Van Vader) - Terrence Taylor & Greg Valentine vs. Freebirds for the US Tag Titles - Brian Pillman vs. Tom Zenk for the Lightheavyweight Title - Van Hammer vs. J.T.Southern - Marcus Alexander Bagwell vs. Scotty Flamingo - Cactus Jack vs. Healthfood Dog - WWF Superstars had a Kerry von Erich match this past weekend. During the match, Vince and Curt Hennig said several times that Von Erich had returned to the WWF. Kerry had been arrested for falsifying a prescription and had voluntarily undergone a detox program. I found it humourous when Vince said something like: "The Texas Tornado is back in the WWF after some time off for a rest." What I at first understood was: "The Texas Tornado is back in the WWF after some time off for arrest." - So far, Davey Boy Smith has defeated Ric Flair four times in the WWF's current UK tour. - Hulk Hogan had reportedly said that he will return to the WWF in September. - I watched my tape of the 20/20 piece on steroids a few days ago. It ran about 15 minutes, but only 3 or 4 minutes dealt with pro-wrestling in particular. That dealt mostly with Ed Gantner and Billy Graham. Graham pointed the finger at Hulk Hogan, who didn't want to comment on the issue. Although everything in the story was really old news to readers of this group, it was probably the first time that many viewers of the show had heard/thought about the problem. - As already mentioned on the net, Owen Hart will be forming a tag team with Koko B. Ware, who is back full time with the WWF. They will be called High Energy. - There is talk of the WWF bringing Dan Spivey back in. The rumour has him taking on a gimmick that would pair him with the Undertaker. - WCW is thinking of having a Missy Hyatt vs. Madusa gimmick "match" on their next PPV. Talk of the women doing a bikini contest. Okay guys, wipe off your screams. - Videotape: The voting ballots to decide what matches make it onto the video will be sent out to the people on the mailing list either today or tomorrow (as my work permits). Next week, I should have at least a partial list of matches that will be on the tape. Herb...
