It's a 2 hour long PPV of the Tokyo Dome show on January 4th, 1992. The matches that will air are: - Lex Luger vs. Masa Chono for the WCW World Title - Sting & Keiji Muto (working as Great Muta) vs. Steiners - Dusty & Dustin Rhodes vs. Masa Saito & Kim Duk - Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko vs. Shiro Koshinaka & Michiyoshi Ohara - Big Van Vader vs. El Gigante (don't worry, it's only 4 minutes) - Riki Choshu vs. Tatsumi Fujinami for the Greatest 18 Martial Arts Title - Jushin Riger & Akira Nogami & Masashi Aoyagi vs. Hiro Saito & Norio Honaga & Super Strong Machine Looks like it may be a really good show if they don't edit the matches down (too much). Can you believe that they have the balls to show two "Japanese wrestlers only" matches? - Kip Frey's WCW steroid policy includes some words about the booker having to do his work based on wrestlers' ability and appeal. Really, if the booking changed in this way, steroids in wrestling would be a non-issue. I've already mentioned sketchy details of this policy. It looks like compliance is voluntary, but if the policy isn't working after some period of time, testing will become mandatory. - The WWF has WrestleMania VIII on PPV, Sunday, April 5th, with the following partial line-up: - Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage for the WWF Title - Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice - Roddy Piper vs. Bret Hart for the IC Title - Ted DiBiase & I.R.S. vs. Natural Disasters for the Tag Titles - Undertaker vs. Jake Roberts - Shawn Michaels vs. Tito Santana Right now, it looks like Flair will keep the belt and Piper will lose the belt. The Natural Disasters will be programmed with the Nasty Boys after WrestleMania, so either they'll lose because of Nasty interference or they'll win and fight Jimmy Hart's other team. - Steve Williams & Terry Gordy will come in to WCW in May and be programmed with the Steiners. - Talk has hit here about Hulk Hogan and his negotiations with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The rumour mill has him disappearing after WrestleMania to work with New Japan, and returning to recapture the WWF Title at SummerSlam, if the situation merits and permits it. - Sex: As if the steroid scandal isn't enough, now Barry Orton's claims of homosexual favours helping write the WWF book are causing a shake-up in the office. I'd love have to lunch with Vince and chat about things, wouldn't you? - Lies: Hulk Hogan's "I only did steroids three times in my life, because I was injured and I was this big when I was 13 years old" lie from the Arsenio Hall show will come back to haunt him next week, when 20/20's story on steroids airs. All the wrestling-related stuff on it slams Hogan. - Videotape: I've been receiving some e-mail this year asking me if I'll sell a video of [always Japanese stuff, usually Jushin Riger] to the person who wrote the mail. I've never sold videos, but I do trade - pretty actively these days. Of course, the majority of people that want to see [...] don't have anything to trade that I don't already have. With that in mind, I thought I might make available a tape of [you tell me? Riger?] for interested people. Of course, if I say "Just cover my costs and I'll send you a copy," I'll get flooded. I'm not sure what to do. I may have to establish an artificial "price" just to disuade some people. I'd like to be able to give anybody that's interested the chance to see [...], but I don't know how to avoid being abused in the process. In a way, just mentioning it here is a feeler to see what the real demand is like, to see if I will get flooded, or what people want to see. I guess I'd like to hear from anybody with any ideas on this, from what I could do all the way to what you'd like to see. Herb...
