Valentine has already worked a WCW taping and along with Terry Taylor defeated Big Josh & Ron Simmons for the US Tag Titles. This match will air this weekend. No word on Hercules' plans. Neidhart was fired for unprofessional conduct, whatever that means in the WWF. Snuka was suspended indefinitely (read: fired) for the same reason (like Vince even wanted to keep him around?). Kerry von Erich is also history with the WWF. He was arrested February 9th on two felony charges of obtaining drugs by fraud in Richardson, Texas. He's apparently checked into a clinic to avoid a jail sentence. - Jake Roberts didn't work the last batch of WWF tapings, which probably explains the rumours of him leaving the company. No word on his status. - WCW is hinting that the Legion of Doom may come in. With the LOD gone from the WWF, we'll probably never see the tape of their title loss to Ted DiBiase & IRS after all. In fact, the Natural Disasters, who were responsible for the LOD's loss, are now saying that their manager, Jimmy Hart (who also manages DiBiase & IRS now), should have gotten them the title match and are turning babyface over it. The new WWF storyline has it that Jimmy Hart interfered in the title match to give DiBiase & IRS the crooked win. Yet another great moment in wrestling history that never took place. - The recent raid of the WWF locker rooms by police in St. Louis came up empty handed because the wrestlers knew that the action was going to take place. Reports are that the wrestlers were being looked at for cocaine possession, but you can bet that the police would have settled for steroids, marijuana, or anything else that they would usually find in the locker rooms. - WCW executive vice-prez Kip Frey has announced a steroid policy for the company. Details are still a little sketchy, but it looks like the program will not be mandatory. Every wrestler will be offered a bonus of up to 10 per cent of his salary if he chooses to participate in the program. There will not be mandatory steroid tests for all WCW wrestlers, but guys that stay off the juice will get this financial bonus. The question is: will guys who stay clean get pushed the same as guys who choose not to stay clean? WCW wrestlers have access to free counselling and are required to attend quaterly seminars dealing with drug (including steroid) abuse. - There was talk of Brian Pillman being recruited by the WWF, but he's signed another 2-year deal with WCW. - The line-up for WCW's SuperBrawl II PPV on February 29th seems to be changing daily, with preliminary matches being reduced and changed. The definite matches are: - Sting winning the World Title from Lex Luger - Ricky Steamboat vs. Rick Rude for the US Title with Paul E. Dangersouly barred from ringside - Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton vs. Steiner Brothers for the Tag Titles - Larry Zbyszko & Steve Austin vs. Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham - Jushin Riger vs. Brian Pillman for the Lightheavyweight Title - Cactus Jack vs. Ron Simmons - Marcus Alexander Bagwell vs. Terry Taylor The following matches have definitely been dropped: - P.N.News vs. Mr. Hughes - Van Hammer vs. Diamond Studd - Tom Zenk vs. Richard Morton The final (actually, the first) match on the show seems to either be: - El Gigante & Johnny B. Badd & Big Josh & Mike Graham vs. Young Pistols & Diamond Dallas Page & Vinnie Vegas or: - Mr. Hughes & Vinnie Vegas vs. Van Hammer & Johnny B. Badd In either case, the show will only have 8 matches, which means that the good matches may have some time to develop into great matches. Actually, all of the 7 definite matches should be very good. Herb...
