He says he'll be back in the ring soon. It's funny how this coincides with rumours of the Ultimate Warrior's return, isn't it? ;-) - The York Foundation won the WCW 6-man titles at a WCW taping. (What? Thomas Rich finally wins a match? No!) - Steve Austin's contract with WCW ends in November and apparently he hasn't signed a deal with the company yet. So, if negotiations fall through he may end up dropping the title to Dustin Rhodes at Halloween Havoc. There are already rumours that "the Stunning One, the Stunmeister, the Stunman, the St-St-St-St-St-Stunster himself" as Diamond Dallas Page called him in one of his more redundant moments will be jumping to the WWF. - Speaking of Halloween Havoc, Scott Steiner will apparently work the show in a semi-injured state, perhaps even still wearing some sort of protective gear. He is slated to be back by late November. - The next WCW Clash of Champions will take place on November 19th, from Savannah, Georgia. From the way that Jim Ross has been talking the main event will most likely be Lex Luger vs. Rick Steiner. This may be the show where a fully healed Scott Steiner makes his return to the ring. - Thanks to Sid Justice's injury, which by all reports is quite similar to Scott Steiner's injury, Randy Savage has been given a big pile of bargaining chips to use with Vince McMahon. Although Savage has given notice as a wrestler and is serious about not returning to a full-time schedule for a stupid program, he has jumped in to replace Sid. I suspect that Vince will put together a quick skit or run a quick angle at a TV taping to re-instate Randy Savage with haste, so the marks don't get too confused when they see him at their arena instead of Sid. Randy worked on the weekend as Mr. Madness, beating Jake Roberts in Lansing, Michigan. - As I reported before, the Rockers gave their notice to the WWF a little while ago. Vince has taken a new angle with negotiations with the team. There is talk that Vince wants Shawn Michaels to work as a singles wrestler in the IC Title challengers pool. - Along this same line, Vince is also talking to Owen Hart about either coming in to work singles (could you imagine Owen vs. Shawn Michaels if they cut loose?) or form a tag team with existing talent, possibly Jim Neidhart. - When Vad Vader returns in November, he'll begin a program with P.N. News, which shows how impressed people are with Axl Rotten. - Finally, don't forget to send in your entries for the Usenet Year-End Achievement Awards. Herb...
