No word on his injuries. For the past year or so, he and Ivan Koloff have been running a wrestling school there. - Also on the mend is Reggie Lisowski, better known as the Crusher. The 65-year-old former AWA superstar suffered a heart attack on September 11. - Curt Hennig's back is a mess. There was talk that he would have to take two months off before returning to the ring. Those estimates have increased to the point where Curt will definitely be gone for at least one year. There is talk of spinal fusion and Curt's career being over. - The press-released line-up for WCW's Halloween Havoc reads: - Lex Luger vs. Ron Simmons for the WCW Title in a 2 out of 3 falls match - Brian Pillman vs. Ricky Morton to crown the first WCW Lightheavyweight champion - The Enforcers vs. The Patriots for the WCW Tag Titles - Steve Austin vs. Dustin Rhodes for the WCW TV Title - P.N. News & Big Josh vs. The Creatures - Bobby Eaton vs. Terry Taylor - Johnny B. Badd vs. Jimmy Garvin - Van Hammer vs. Michael Hayes - Chambers of Horrors match: El Gigante, Sting, Rick & Scott Steiner vs. One Man Gang, Diamond Studd, Oz, & Barry Windham Of course, this begs many questions. What are the Creatures? Is Johnny B. Badd a face or a heel? Why is Michael Hayes being punished (and for that matter, why was Terry Taylor punished at the CoC)? Is Scott Steiner really well? With the One Man Gang fired (for not wanting to job for P.N. News), will he be replaced by Abdullah the Butcher or Cactus Jack Manson? - WCW has almost returned to a booking committee instead of a single booker. Dusty Rhodes, Terry Allen, and the four Jims (Ross, Herd, Barnett, Crockett) will all have a hand in the booking now. - It looks like some rumours from last week have been proven to be false. Barry Norman, WCW's public relations officer, says that the Ultimate Warrior has not contacted the WCW offices as of yet (maybe the person rumoured to have appeared at a WCW taping was Ste....Nah!). Also, Demolition may not be heading in. - For those of you that were hoping for Flair-Hogan at Madison Square Garden this Saturday, who were then disappointed to learn it would be Flair-Piper, you will now be further disappointed to learn that this show will not be put on the MSG network. In any case, the card has: - Ric Flair vs. Roddy Piper - Sid Justice vs. The Undertaker - Rick Steamboat vs. Big Bully Busich - Hulk Hogan vs. Warlord for the WWF title among others. - More Ric Flair rumours. Talk now is that the WWF is going to lure Madusa Micelli away from JWP to work as Ric Flair's valet in the WWF. - Kato has been suspended for a month for cheating on his drug test. Jeez, Kato, when in doubt just guess "C"! ;-) - Big rumour that the Nasty Boys are on their way out of the WWF. They've demanded $600000 from Vince, who isn't particularly eager to comply. Their contracts are up in November and if negotiations fall through, there is talk that they will return to WCW. - Jim Herd has been named the president of the National Wrestling Alliance. All the promoters who own a piece of this name had a vote in deciding whether Herd would be appointed. In the past, this group caused enough trouble that the NWA of old was renamed WCW. Then, when Ric Flair left WCW, the NWA board decided that he would still be recognized as NWA champion. Now, the WCW shows will once again start using the NWA name. This also gives WCW a chance to appeal Flair's claim to the NWA belt. - The WWF Survivor Series takes place on November 22 from Joe Louis Arena. The matches are: - Hulk Hogan vs Undertaker for the WWF Title - Sid Justice, Big Boss Man, Legion of Doom vs. Jake Roberts, IRS, Earthquake & Typhoon - Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Virgil & British Bulldog vs. Ric Flair, Ted DiBiase, Warlord, and Mountie - Jim Duggan, Jim Neidhart, Rick Steamboat, & Kerry von Erich vs. Berzerker, Skinner Steve Keirn, Big Bully Busich, and Mustafa - The Rockers & The Sheepwhackers vs. Nasty Boys & Beverly Brothers The last match has possible changes coming to it. If the Nasty Boys don't reach an agreement with Vince, then they will not be on the show. Also, The Rockers will be Marty Janetty and somebody. Shawn Michaels is still out. Shane Douglas injured his ankle, but will hopefully be back by late November. At present, Jim Powers has been working with Marty as the Rockers. There will be no ultimate match of survival this year. - WCW is thinking of bringing back the legendary NightStalker. I'm sure everybody remember that fantastic NightStalker vs. Sid Vicious match at the Clash of Champions a while back. There's little doubt they are planning a NightStalker vs. Van Hammer vs. Oz three way angle. ;-) - Brad Armstrong is back from a short tour with New Japan. His best result saw him get put over by Jushin Riger on September 10. Now that he's back, he'll take on a new Spider-Man gimmick. Badstreet is history as the Freebirds start a feud with the Young Pistols. - Don't forget that the chairing of Vince McMahon airs this weekend on WWF Superstars. The scenario is slightly different than I described last week. Flair and Piper get into a pull-apart verbal battle at the commentator's platform. Piper lines up Flair for a chair shot, and nails Vince by mistake. Then Flair nails Piper. Herb...
