Apparently, Ric Flair met with the WWF officials yesterday in Stamford, and was offered a two-year deal worth an estimated $2.5 million. Flair has agreed and will start with the WWF on October 1st. He will be free from the WCW on August 1st. Initial talk has Flair coming in as a babyface, and eventually turning heel and teaming with Ted DiBiase. Flair will become the six-million dollar man (perhaps a little jab at Steve Austin?) and the two million dollar men will be managed by Sherri Martel. - As one would expect when looking at Lex Luger's match list for next month (vs. babyfaces), Lex is indeed turning heel. Luger will be managed by Harley Race, and Mr. Hughes will be an occasional bodyguard for the Total Package. - SummerSlam '91 takes place August 26th, with the following partial line-up: - Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior vs. Sgt. Slaughter, General Adnon, and Colonel Mustafa with Sid Justice as referee - Curt Hennig vs. Bret Hart for the IC Title - LOD vs. Nasty Boys for the Tag Titles - Ted DiBiase vs. Virgil for the million dollar belt - Bushwhackers (with Andre as cornerman) vs. Earthquake & Typhoon - Big Boss Man vs. Da Mountie (loser spends a night in jail) - Kerry von Erich, Davey Boy Smith & Ricky Steamboat vs. Power & Glory & Warlord - Greg Valentine vs. IRS This card will be card #5 in the Usenet Booking Prediction Tournament. I'll be posting a call for predictions soon, once any other matches have been announced. - Vince McMahon has been sweet-talking Lou Ferrigno for quite a while in an attempt to get the Hulk to join his bodybuilding group. Lou has apparently agreed to come out of retirement and work for McMahon for a reported $700000 a year. - "Suburban Commando," which is getting better reviews at advance showings than "No Holds Barred" did, is being pushed back to an October wide release. Hopefully, the steroid talk will have died down by then. Herb...
