He wanted more money and the group vetoed that idea. Vince McMahon jumped into the picture in a hurry and reportedly offered Sid close to $400000 a year to join the WWF. Sid has apparently said yes and will probably appear in the WWF very soon. My personal view is that although Sid has a strange sort of charisma and was over despite his lack of ability, I'm glad to see him leave WCW. WCW has to mold their product into something different from the WWF, and that means that the steroid monsters with zero-workrate have to leave. I have a lot of hope that recent events are signs of things to come: the hard work at WrestleWar '91 that everybody on the card put in, the WCW/New Japan joint cards, Owen Hart coming in and working Japanese style. - Rick Rude's contract with the WWF is almost up. That means that he'll be able to work for other organizations now...Rick Rude is expected to sign with WCW. - John Studd is also apparently coming into WCW. Don't know about face or heel status, but either way you have to expect a Studd vs. El Gigante match or a Studd & El Gigante tag team. - WCW is also talking with Jesse Ventura. The WWF has been talking with Jesse too recently because when Piper goes full-time after his "injury" heals, they'll need a new charismatic commentator. - This weekend's WWF syndies had the debut of Colonel Mustafa (the Iron Sheik, still looking like he's going to have quintuplets) and Mike Rotunda as Irwin R. Shyster, apparently doing a similar gimmick as he did in WCW. - Dino Bravo and Demolition appear to be the first cuts in the post-WrestleMania fat-trimming in the WWF. Herb...
