Slaughter for the WWF title - Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage in a retirement match - Hart Foundation vs. Nasty Boys for the WWF tag titles - Jake Roberts vs. Rick Martel in a blindfold match - Curt Hennig vs. Big Boss Man in an IC title match - Virgil (with Roddy Piper as corner man) vs. Ted DiBiase - Davey Boy Smith vs. Warlord - Undertaker vs. Jimmy Snuka - Dino Bravo vs. Kerry von Erich - Greg Valentine vs. Earthquake - Rockers vs. Demolition I'd expect the Virgil/Dibiase match to set up the Roddy Piper vs. Ted DiBiase feud for the summer. Other matches that are very likely to occur: - Road Warriors vs. Power & Glory - WrestleWar '91 matches are: - Sting, Brian Pillman, Rick & Scott Steiner vs. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Sid Vicious & Barry Windham in a War Games match - Lex Luger vs. Dan Spivey for the US title - Doom vs. the Freebirds for the WCW tag titles - Brad Armstrong vs. Bobby Eaton - Tom Zenk vs. Terry Taylor - Dustin Rhodes vs. Buddy Landell - Young Pistols vs. Royal Family - Tommy Rich vs. Big Cat - Junkfood Dog vs. Master Blaster Steele - Ricky Morton vs. Dutch Mantell - Japanese women's tag match, wrestlers unannounced - Rumours have begun that the Ultimate Warrior wants to retire, since he is tired of the hectic WWF schedule. This just may be a ruse to counteract the "Savage wants to retire" rumours. I expect that neither wrestler will really retire, though. Either we'll have a time limit draw (but with Warrior that might be tough), or an instant replay job that causes some controversy in the finish, or a legit win by one guy followed by the arrival of a masked unknown somehow familiar even to Vince. - Interesting rumour: WCW's Alexandra York, Terry Taylor's new manager and head of the York foundation, is actually Alexandra Ross, Jim Ross' daughter. - Did everyone catch last weekend's WCW Pro Wrestling? They showed a New Japan match between Tatsumi Fujinami and Riki Choshu, in which Fujinami won the IWGP title. This was a great match and it was used to advertise the New Japan/WCW joint card in the Tokyo Dome in March, where Fujinami meets Flair. It also helps WCW look like an international organization. If only Jim Ross had done better commentary on the match; he must have pointed out half-a-dozen times that this match would determine the number one international contender for the WCW title. This may mean that WCW does plan to air the joint card at some point in the future, although nothing certain has been announced. Herb... As always, comments, criticisms, and questions are encouraged and appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Herb Kunze : "Whether you like it or you don't like it, Applied Math Department : learn to live with it, 'cause University of Waterloo : it's the best thing going today! hekunze@watmsg.waterloo.edu : Woooooooh!" hekunze@violet.waterloo.edu : - Ric 'Nature Boy' Flair
