Here's the explanation: As we all know, the Rockers won the belts from the Hart Foundation at a SNME taping that was to air on November 24. But, apparently disgruntled with having to wear masks and play second fiddle to the LOD, Demolition Ax & Smash quit the WWF on Sunday. This leaves Vince with some shaken up programs and only five tag teams: LOD, Rockers, Power & Glory, Orient Express (DUD), and Bushwhackers (DUD) - i.e. only three real teams. First off, Jim Neidhart will stay on for a while, giving the Hart Foundation some new life. Apparently Vince likes having an even number of tag teams in his group. Second, the Rockers/Harts match will be edited so that the Rockers win, but do not get the titles. There's no word on Demolition Crush (Brian Adams), but Ax & Smash will be heading to Japan. This causes a little confusion about the future programming for the tag belts in the WWF. Rumours have said that Vince wants LOD to face Power & Glory at WrestleMania, so somehow Vince will have to work the titles to the LOD before then. - The SNME mentioned above will actually air on November 23 at 10pm on NBC as a prime time special. The bouts to be aired are: Rockers vs. Harts (see above), Ultimate Warrior vs. Ted DiBiase, and Curt Hennig vs. Big Boss Man. - Latest rumour about the egg at Survivor Series has Mark Calaway coming out and working as the Eggman. Doubtful, since Calaway will apparently work with Hogan and get a super push. I just can't picture Hulk Hogan and the Eggman. - Ric Flair has challenged Buddy Landel to a match to determine who gets to use the title "Nature Boy" and who cannot. - I've been reminded that the Midnight Express quit the NWA before (Apr/89) and returned a few months later, so let's not lose hope that Stan and Jim will be back. In the mean time, Bobby Eaton has a title shot against Sting this weekend that apparently drew a lot of heat. - Lex Luger taped an episode of Superboy last week. I waited to report it until I knew when the episode is airing: the first week of December. He plays a villain that clashes with Superboy, and does okay until Stan Hansen does the run in and demolishes Luger with his cow bell. Okay, only half of the above scenario is true ;-) Herb... As always, comments, criticisms, and questions are encouraged and appreciated. ======================================================================= * Herb Kunze * "Whether you like it or not, * * Applied Math Department * learn to live with it, 'cause * * University of Waterloo * I'm the best thing going today!" * * hekunze@watmsg.waterloo.edu * - Ric 'Nature Boy' Flair * * hekunze@water.waterloo.edu * *
