{ Well, I've been very busy with my courses/research this past week,
  so I'll apologize in advance for the brevity of this note.  I managed
  to hear/read very little regarding wrestling week.                   }

 - Jerry Lawler won the USWA title in a tournament on Monday.  The title
   was vacated by the Snowman, a black wrestler who has apparently filed
   a racism suit against the promoters claiming that he did not get pushed
   because of his skin colour.  The semi-finals saw Lawler beat Terry
   Funk and Austin Idol beat Eddie Gilbert.  Lawler pinned Idol in the
   final and then all three of the other semifinalists pounded him.

 - Well, the Rick Martel vs. Jake Roberts feud got started this weekend
   on the WWF syndies.

 - A reminder to catch the WWF's Saturday Night's Main Event this weekend.
   Matches that will be aired are: the LOD and Ultimate Warrior vs.
   Demolition (LOD&UW win), Hulk Hogan & Tugboat vs. Rhythm & Blues
   (faces by DQ), Kerry von Erich defends against Haku (Kerry with
   the punch for the win), Sgt. Slaughter vs, Koko B. Ware (Koko loses
   to the knuckle against the temple, and Randy Savage vs. Dusty Rhodes
   (Savage by countout).  This last match features an interesting angle
   involving Dustin Rhodes getting pummelled at ringside by Ted DiBiase
   and Virgil.  Word has it there's juice in this one.  Will
   they air it on NBC?

 - Survivor Series rundown was announced this weekend on the syndies.
   The matches are:

   And that mysterious egg will be opened during SS.  The prime candidates
   are King Kong Bundy, or Mean Mark Callas.
     We can also expect Brutus Beefcake to make a special appearance.
     My bets are that mystery partner on the Million Dollar Team will be
   Randy Savage, who is noticeably absent from the card.  Savage will
   form some sort of alliance with DiBiase on this weekend's SNME, as I
   said earlier.
