- Hogan returned to the ring on the weekend, beating Earthquake by DQ in Los Angeles. - It looks like Hulk Hogan's "Urban Commando" (in which he plays an inter-planetary superhero mercenary) will co-star Mean Mark Callas. Mean Mark, who left the NWA a short while ago, will be joining the WWF in the near future and, much as with Zeus, Mark's film feud with Hogan will be translated to the ring. - Shawn Michaels should be back in a month or so. - Paul Diamond was *not* fired by the WWF. He's back from a brief absence. - After reporting that Owen Hart will join the NWA in January, there is now talk that he may actually make it in as early as late October. - Barry Windham is out until November, which means he won't be at Halloween Havoc. - Both the Master Blasters and Maximum Overdrive, NWA newcomer tag teams, have lost one member. Can't say I'm too upset. - The Toronto NWA card in October will take place on the 25th. The card will be headlined by Luger vs. Vicious. Undercard includes R'n'R Express vs. the Freebirds. I doubt I'll go, unless Ric Flair or Arn Anderson is on the card. - The tentative card for NWA's Halloween Havoc on October 27th is: * Sid Vicious vs. Sting (NWA World title match) * Doom vs. Arn Anderson & Ric Flair (NWA Tag straps match) * Lex Luger vs. Stan Hansen (US Title match) * Steiners vs. Nasty Boys (US Tag straps match) * Midnight Express vs. R'n'R Express * Tommy Rich vs. Silencer (formerly of Maximum Overdrive) * Terry Taylor vs. Blade Hunter * Southern Boys vs. Master Blasters (probably a new combo, since 1 is gone) * Junkfood Dog vs. Moondog Rex (ooooohhhhh, gaaaaawwwwd!) * Freebirds vs. Youngbloods There's little doubt that Sting/Vicious will be terrible. But there are some good matches on the card. - Some stats on El Gigante (who is merifully absent on the PPV :-)): neck size - 20 inches, chest - 72 inches, waist - 48 inches, shoe size - 21 inches, T-shirt size - 5XL, wrestling ability - 0. Okay, so I added the last one. But I'll admit he has potential.
