 { Well, I happened to get near a terminal and decided to type in some of
   what I've heard over the past couple of weeks.  Hope you all enjoy
   it.  My vacation ends in a couple more weeks when I'll resume my
   weekly posting and respond to any e-mail I've received in August.

 - The hottest news I've Herd in the past couple of weeks is that
   Ole Anderson has very recently been fired as booker in the NWA.

 - I still hear talk that Kerry von Erich will dye his hair black
   with silver streaks.  Vince will be dropping the name 'Kerry'
   shortly, simply calling Kerry the Texas Tornado from then on
   (except in Texas, where the von Erich name is a guaranteed draw.)
   Incidentally, when it was announced that Kerry von Erich would
   be the tag partner of the Ultimate Warrior in an upcoming card in
   Toronto, ticket sales apparently were brisk.  This guy might
   just have that WWF appeal.

 - Midget wrestler Little Beaver passed away a couple of weeks ago
   at the age of 52.  Little Beaver is probably best known for
   having taken a bodyslam from King Kong Bundy at WrestleMania III
   in 1987.

 - As I mentioned before, Bundy would like to rejoin the WWF.  It
   seems that King Kong will join Jimmy Hart's stable which will
   allow Vince to team Bundy & Earthquake.

 - Word is that Rowdy Roddy Piper will replace Jesse Ventura as
   television announcer.  Speaking of Jesse, he has been quoted as saying
   that he's left the WWF under non-hostile circumstances and may
   eventually rejoin the company.

 - I hear some mixed reports on Brutus Beefcake.  I had heard - much
   like some of the network chatter I've caught - that Beefcake was
   recovering faster than doctors had anticipated.  But I've also
   heard reports that Beefcake's condition has worsened to the point
   where he has lost the use of his right eye.  Beefcake has undergone
   some 56 hours of reconstructive surgery.

 - Hulk Hogan's wife has given birth to their second child, Nicholas,
   who weighed in at 8 pounds and 2 ounces.

 - We should be seeing NWA champ Sting in a Burger King commercial
   real soon.

 - Rumours have it that Mr. Fuji and his Orient Express will be taking
   an express trip out of the WWF at the end of the summer.

 - Rick Martel is out with a pinched nerve in his shoulder.  He's
   already been missing a lot of house shows - being subbed for by
   Mike Sharpe - and there is some worry that he won't be back for
   Summer Slam.

 - Rumours have the Hart Foundation ready to fight Demolition with the
   same fire - adding a third member.  It's been reported that Owen
   Hart has been approached about joining the Hart Foundation.  This
   doesn't seem to figure since Owen is supposedly on his way into the
   NWA when he finally gets back from Japan, having pushed his August
   start date to September then to December.  That knowledge and the
   fact that the September marriages have the three Demos vs. the Road
   Warriors and the Ultimate Warrior makes me wonder if three Harts
   figure into the picture.  Then again, the three Warriors vs. three
   Demos angle is supposed to be short-lived, with a Warrior vs. Randy
   Savage feud set to emerge shortly.

 - Tony Atlas is due back in the WWF shortly, having lost his ICW
   title to Vic Steamboat.  It seems he'll be known as Olympian or
   something to that effect.  Tony is one of two wrestlers to
   legitimately pin Hulk Hogan since 1980 (in 1980 in Shea Stadium)
   - the Ultimate Warrior is the other.  I don't count Andre since
   I'm still trying to forget the evil twin referee angle.
