 - It looks like a black-haired Kerry von Erich will be the replacement for
   the injured Brutus Beefcake at Summer Slam.  Kerry will probably have
   some warm-up tag matches at the house shows, joining forces with the
   Ultimate Warrior to take on Rick Rude and Curt Hennig.

 - Has anybody else seen the Ultimate Warrior's commercial for Slim Jim
   Sausages - some sort of Beef Jerky, I gather?  The man is utterly
   incomprehensible.  A female friend of mine didn't even know what product
   the Warrior was endorsing after seeing the commercial ;-)

 - Caught this (?) week's AWA show, featuring an AWA title match between
   champ Larry Zbyskzo and D.J. Petersen.  During the match, the
   commentator, Larry Nelson I think, said, "To be the man, you've got to
   beat the man, and Larry Zbyskzo is the man."  Boy, that sounds somehow
   familiar.

 - Tomorrow night in Hamilton, Ontario, Dusty Rhodes takes on Randy Savage
   in a Texas Bullrope match.  And Dusty isn't even the booker ;-)

 - Well, Sargeant Slaughter made his promo debut this past weekend on the
   WWF syndie shows.  It looks like they're going to bring him in as heel
   immediately, since he mentioned Nikolai Volkoff's name.  I figured they
   might bring him as a face and then turn him.

 - Also on the syndies, Sapphire was showing off a diamond bracelet given to
   her by her secret admirer.  Of course, the admirer is admirer is Ted
   DiBiase, and the gifts are meant to build to DiBiase's feud with the
   American Dream after Summer Slam ends their current feuds.

 - Tully Blanchard is still out with an ankle injury.

 - Ric Flair is apparently out with a knee injury.  Which begs the question:
   What match can draw if Sting vs. Flair is not possible for a while.

 - Paul Orndorff seems to be on the verge of a heel turn.  I guess that
   answers the above question.  The new question is:  Will Sting vs.
   Orndorff draw?

 - Nord The Barbarian will take his Yukon John role from the AWA to the WWF.
