In recent months, Vince has repeated this tactic, stealing Akio Sato, Pat Tanaka, & Paul Diamond. Now, word has it that Vince has his sights set on John Nord & Scott Norton. Several years ago, Nord was a wild man being compared to the great Bruiser Brody, while recently his career has gone terribly downhill. Norton is the current arm wrestling champion of the world, and with some more training could do quite well (at least in the WWF). - Rumours have Terry Taylor leaving the WWF for the NWA shortly. This was also rumoured a while back, but although Terry was not being used by the WWF, he was still under contract, so the NWA purposely avoided negotiations with him. This prompted Terry to stay on with the WWF. - The Legion of Doom make their debut in the WWF this week. - Brian Adams (?) is Demolition's new partner. He will fight has B.A., which stands for Bad Attitude. He has apparently already made appearances at house shows featuring Demolition vs. Hart Foundation, interfering on behalf of Demolition who win with a screw job or get disqualified. Perhaps Vince is going to make the Warriors faces after all. .. - The NWA returns to Southern Ontario for the first time in at least 5-7 years next week. Reading the ad for the matches in a Toronto newspaper gave me some idea of what's wrong with the NWA. There were no less than a dozen errors in the small advertisement. This includes things like spelling errors (World Tag champions Doonl ?) and more serious errors (World Champion Lex Luger, with the Horsemen in his corner vs. US champion Ric Flair !) Argh!!! Herb... As always, comments, criticisms, and questions are encouraged and appreciated. *********************************************************************** * Herb Kunze * "Whether you like it or not, * * Applied Math Department * learn to live with it, 'cause * * University of Waterloo * I'm the best thing going today!" * * hekunze@watmsg.waterloo.edu * - Ric 'Nature Boy' Flair * * hekunze@water.waterloo.edu * * ***********************************************************************
