I say "suppossed" and remain quite skeptical myself.... but it was good to see Marvez also make the same qualifying remarks in his column (the first of the "insiders" to do so, I think). Anyway, the story goes that Sullivan legit tried to rip out one of Pillman's eyes (uh huh), and Pillman responded by trying to choke out Sullivan. Arn Anderson had to no-sell a Broom of Doom shot to try to keep order, and Pillman no sold somebelt shots before storming away from the ring. There was furthere drama backstage, as Pillman and Sullivan argued, and Pillman and Bischoff also had words. Pillman left hurriedly, but did wrestle on tapings on Tuesday (but he was isolated from all the other workers the whole time). Then Marvez qualifies this shoot theory by reminding readers that, while it is not totally out of the question, it is highly unlikely that WCW would put Pillman on live TV, or let him and Sullivan do the strap match on PPV tonight, if Pillman really was acting up. * Also, Sherri is gone from WCW. Fired for currently unknown reasons, sayeth Marvez. Other info (once again, a plug to Georgie's Chatterbox, the best damn folder on AOL): * Brutus Beefcake (or the Artist Formerly Known as Brutus Beefcake, as Brother Bruti, as the Butcher, and as the Zodiac) is going to be transformed into "The Clip Master" following a face turn. He'll be associated with the Giant, and is once again going to be cutting hair after matches. * At the recent WCW Universal tapings: - In the "You've Gotta Be Kidding...." Department, Renegade got a DQ win over Ric Flair. Look for it in March. - In the "Who Gives a Rat's Ass?" Department, Chris Canyon turned on fellow jobber Mark Starr. * Steve Williams was at Titan Tower within the past week. * From RSPW Man of the Weekend (following his plug of RSPW on WCWSN), Johnny B. Badd's folder on AOL: JBB's contract is up on February 28, and he has not resigned. JBB hopes the situation is settled soon. * Billy Gunn has suffered a severe injury. Jim Ross went into great detail about it, although I've forgotten most of it (*YOU* try being alert at noon on a Sunday morning after what I do on my Saturday nights!). It's a neck injury, and required bone from his sternum to be fused with a vertebrae. Ross said Billy will be out for 3-4 months. Georgie also reported the news earlier in the week, saying Billy would only be out about 4 weeks. More on this as it develops.... and with a sure-to-be-vacated Tag Title and President Roddy Piper, the developments should be interesting. 'Course, a roster of more than one healthy and talented tag team would make things interesting, too. Steiner Brothers, where are you?!? * The Slammys will be broadcast live on the USA Network this year. I think they'll be on the Saturday night before WrestleMania.
