I might be willing to pay for this match, as long as I can also sabotage the live broadcast somehow. Other dark matches are Jerry Lynn vs. Paul Orndorff, Harlem Heat vs. Buck/Dick, and Pillman/DiskoNazi. To be honest, for WCW, one out of four ain't bad! Har har. No word on what the televised matches will be, but I'd bet money they involve some combination of Hogan, Luger, Savage, and /or the Dungeon of Doom. Whooppee. For those interested, tix go on sale for the taping this Saturday at 10a/m/. Call TicketBastard. * Marvez's lead story pertains to the IYH/RAW tag title angle. He says its a pathetic rip off and that anyone who paid for the PPV should demand a refund. Whatever. I'd hate to know what he thought of the much more pathetic rip-off screwjob ending when Hogan beat Flair in a match where he wrestled Vader. Since the DDN column is slim pickins again this week, here are a cuople other items I've decided to bring to your attention: * Texas' Tony Norris will be a babyface in the WWF, using the name Ahmed Johnson. The first segment they showed of him this was impressive. The guy is gonna be huge. He looks like a monster, and he sounded convincing on the mic. * In his AOL Chat earlier in the week, President Gorilla Monsoon promised fans that an upcoming RAW will feature a steel cage match. Start placing bets now for how long Nitro can go without copying this idea too! Har har. And ona totally editorial note: Liger/Guerrero on Sunday Night was very good, and I expect Guerrero/Malenko tonight will be tons better. But it is extremely depressing to see these guys put on matches light years ahead of anything the guys on top are doing and getting ZERO crownd reaction. WCW is doing a very professional job of introducing the new guys on TV, but is doing nothing to try to get them over. It is as if they are just putting them out there to lure the hardcores who already like them, but don't care of the legions of Hulkamaniacs who make up WCW audience of nincompoops get behind any of them. It's really depressing to see WCW almost have a good idea, and then make sure that it doesn't work.
